JAZAN: The Saudi Coffee Festival in Al-Dayer governorate is drawing large numbers of families in the region, with displays including a rural pavilion showcasing women’s role in the rural sector and their participation in daily life. The festival, which is organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture’s branch in Jazan in cooperation with the Al-Dayer governorate, will continue until Feb. 20. Visitors can learn about farming, tillage and harvesting tools, and cooking utensils, as well as women’s traditional clothes and jewelry, and equipment for coffee harvesting, roasting and preparation. Displays also feature leatherwork produced by rural women in the past, as well as the region’s current leather products.
