Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, met in Jeddah on Thursday with the United States Special Representative for Syria Engagement, James Jeffrey. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed the latest regional developments and the efforts exerted towards them. The meeting was attended by Minister of State and Cabinet Member Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Cabinet Member Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir. On the US side, the meeting was attended by US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Middle East Affairs and Special Envoy for Syria Joel Rayburn and US Ambassador to Riyadh John Abizaid. Also Thursday, the Crown Prince met in Jeddah with Deputy Head of Sudans Transitional Council General Mohamed Hamdan Daglo. During the meeting, aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in addition to the latest developments in the region were discussed. The meeting was attended by Al-Aiban and Al-Jubeir. On the Sudanese side, the meeting was attended by official spokesman of the Sudanese Military Council General Shamsaddin Kabbashi.
