The Kingdom is following developments in the country with concern, state Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday. At least 25 people have been killed in clashes since and 40 bodies were pulled from the Nile River, raising the death toll in the militarys crackdown to 100, the Sudan Doctors Committee said. “The Kingdom affirms the importance of resuming the dialogue between the various parties in Sudan to fulfil the aspirations of the brotherly Sudanese people,” the Saudi statement said. The Kingdom also called for “reason, wisdom and dialogue” to prevail in Sudan, and affirmed its steadfast support for the country and its people. Saudi Arabia also expressed its condolences to the families of those killed, and said it supports everything that achieves “security and stability” in Sudan. Meanwhile, the commander of Sudanese paramilitary forces accused of a deadly crackdown on demonstrators insisted Wednesday that the country would not be allowed to slip into "chaos". Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, deputy chief of Sudans ruling military council, leads the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) that protesters say is responsible for the "bloody massacre" that left 100 people dead. "We will not allow chaos... we must impose the authority of the state through law," the commander, known as Himediti, told troops in a televised address.
