Saudi Arabia expressed on Tuesday its sorrow over the loss of life during clashes that rocked Iraq on Monday. The Foreign Ministry called on all parties and political forces to stand united to “preserve the gains of the people.” It added that it was following the developments in Iraq with deep concern, lamenting the loss of life. It stressed that the Kingdom supports all efforts aimed at averting Iraq and its people the pain of division and internal conflict. It urged all parties to resort to peaceful means to meet the demands of the fraternal Iraqi people to secure their safe future, stability and prosperity.
