Chairman of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sameer Abdullah Nass has taken over the presidency of the 21st session of the Federation of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Chambers (FGCC) until Feb.10, 2022. Nass succeeded outgoing UAE President Mohammed bin Thani al-Rumaithi, Chairman of the UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He stressed that the FGCC shall redouble its efforts to push forward with the Federation’s path, which began in the early 1980s after it was formally established in late 1979. Nass said these efforts come in line with hopes placed on GCC chambers by leaders, peoples and the private sector in GCC states. The FGCC has a busy program that focuses on joint Gulf economic work and closer Gulf cooperation, he added. “Some projects deserve to be given the utmost care and attention by all because they serve to achieve that goal.” These include deepening economic integration and pushing joint economic work to new horizons to attain the desired goal, Nass explained.
