Saudi Crown Prince Meets with Ex-UN Chief

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, met in Riyadh on Wednesday with former UN Secretary General and current Deputy Chair of The Elders organization Ban Ki-moon, the Saudi Press Agency reported. During the meeting, they reviewed a number of issues of common concern, SPA said. The meeting was attended by Dr. Awwad Al-Awwad, Chief of Human Rights Commission, it added. The Crown Prince has also held talks with World Economic Forum (WEF) President Borge Brende. SPA said that during the meeting, they reviewed a number of issues related to global and regional economic developments, in addition to discussing partnership opportunities between the Kingdom and the Forum in line with the Kingdoms Vision 2030. The meeting was attended by Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi; Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan and Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khuraif, the agency said. It was also attended by Mirek Dusek, Davos Deputy Head of the Center for Geopolitical and Regional Affairs and Maroun Keyrouz, Davos Director of the Head’s Office responsible for the relationship with the Kingdom, it added.
