The General Secretariat of Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO) valued the precautionary measures approved by the Saudi government regarding the new Coronavirus. This includes the decision to temporarily stop granting of Umrah, visiting and tourism visas, in order to confront the virus and protect pilgrims and visitors from exchanging infection and transferring it to the holy sites and to the world. Secretary General ARCO Dr. Saleh bin Hamad Al-Tuwaijri stressed that these measures confirm the Kingdoms keenness on the safety of the lives of pilgrims and visitors of the Two Holy Mosques. He also noted the role of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the great facilities it provides for pilgrims and Umrah performs.
