Riyadh, March 10, 2020, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh, Al-Bilad, and Al-Yaum newspapers said in their editorials that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has intensified the efforts to combat novel coronavirus (COVID-19). They referred to several precautionary measures taken by different government agencies including the Ministry of Health, Interior, Education, and Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance to contain the outbreak, treat those affected and prevent further transmission. The papers added that Saudi Arabia's noble humanitarian role is always present in all occasions, Saudi Arabia has provided USD 10 million to the World Health Organization for the implementation of urgent measures. Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper said in its editorial that the coronavirus has shaken the global economy.
