Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef has revealed ongoing cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Investment to unify procedures stimulating industrial production. Alkhorayef announced that the ministry seeks to help empower companies to represent the kingdom on the international level in the industry sector, noting that any company that has potentials can be one of the pioneering firms. Under the title, “Empowering Industry in Jeddah to Achieve Saudi Arabia’s Vision for 2030,” Alkhorayef attended the launch of the new forum along with leading industrialists and officials. He announced that the ministry has an ambitious program to support local industries under the slogan "Made in Saudi Arabia", pointing out that yesterdays meeting with Prince Khalid al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Makkah Region, tackled several topics including "Makkah industry". The forum consisted of four sessions, during which Alkhorayef asserted the ministrys openness to ideas that boost exports. The ministry’s role is to get the voices of manufacturers heard, Alkhorayef said, adding that the Saudi Vision 2030 relies on economic diversity and varying income sources including the industry sector.
