ARAR: Northern Borders Region Gov. Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz chaired a virtual meeting of telecom companies services in the region on Thursday. The director of Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) in the Eastern Province, who also oversees the Northern Borders Region, and the branch heads of the Saudi Telecom Co., Mobily, and Zain all participated in the meeting. They discussed ways to activate and link the efforts of the education and telecommunications sectors to support remote learning while the Kingdom’s education institutions remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They also stressed the importance of providing and maintaining internet services for educational channels and broadcast platforms across the Northern Borders Region.
