NAJRAN: Najran Gov. Prince Jalawi bin Abdul Aziz held an emergency meeting on Wednesday with a number of officials from the region to review the relevant authorities’ plans for new measures against the COVID-19 pandemic following the recent royal approval allowing amended curfew hours, the reopening of some economic and commercial activities — including ministries, government agencies and private sector companies, the reintroduction of domestic flights and internal travel between regions, and Friday prayers in mosques. It was decided that the General Directorate of Health Affairs in Najran will be responsible for evaluating the measures put in place at government agencies, workplaces, airports, and commercial venues.  The Ministry of Islamic Affairs in Najran and the secretariat will be responsible for sanitizing and preparing mosques, marking carpets to ensure a safe distance between worshippers is maintained.  The management of Najran airport, in cooperation with airlines, will be responsible for ensuring all travelers abide by the measures from the moment they enter the airport until they board their flights.
