RIYADH: The Kingdom’s minister of Islamic affairs has called for Friday’s sermons to focus on COVID-19 precautionary and preventive measures. Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Asheikh’s directive is part of the ministry’s efforts to raise awareness in Saudi society, as Friday sermons play a role in guiding people and provide an opportunity to remind them about government instructions to fight the coronavirus. Al-Asheikh also called on speakers to highlight the Kingdom’s work in the context of the pandemic.
