The other new infections were recorded in different cities and provinces across Saudi Arabia. Speaking during the press conference, health ministry spokesman Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdel Ali said there are 44,269 active cases receiving necessary medical care. Of these, a total of 2,170 are critical, while the health condition of the rest is stable. He added that the effect of heat on the coronavirus has not yet been established. He called on everyone to celebrate Eid Al-Adha in compliance with the preventive measures and should not make it a miserable occasion. The spokesman narrated a story saying that after the lifting of lockdown measures, two friends went to a restaurant while one was infected with the virus but was not aware of it. However, the commitment of the other friend to follow precautionary measures, including face mask and social distancing, prevented him from contracting the infection.
