KUWAIT CITY — A total of 766 people recovered from the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 54,373, Kuwaiti ministry of health said on Sunday. The ministry added that the new number was based on clinical tests, which proved that the patients were now virus-free. Kuwait also reported 464 new cases of the novel coronavirus and four deaths in the last 24 hours, which brings the total number of confirmed infections to 63,773 and the virus-related death toll to 433, the ministry said. Meanwhile, curfew hours in Kuwait have been shortened and are now from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Kuwait is set to enter its “phase three” of coronavirus restrictions on July 28 and has since loosened several measures in place. Mosques, malls, and restaurants reopened and commercial flights will resume operations to Kuwait’s International Airport from Aug. 1. — Agencies
