ABU DHABI — The United Arab Emirates on Thursday 302 new coronavirus cases and 424 recoveries over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed infections and recoveries in the country to 60,223 and 53,626 respectively, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health said in a statement carried by WAM. The new cases, who are stable and receiving necessary medical care, were detected after the ministry conducted 55,257 additional coronavirus tests during the past 24 hours among different segments of the society using state-of-the-art technologies. The ministry also announced two more deaths from complications caused by the infection, taking the total number of virus-related fatalities in the country to 349. The ministry expressed its regret and sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to all actives cases. The ministry also called on people to cooperate with health authorities and follow all precautionary measures, particularly social distancing regulations, to ensure the safety and protection of the public.
