DUBAI: British pop sensation Ellie Goulding released her latest song “Love I’m Given,” turning to Saudi couturier Mohammed Ashi to design her eye-grabbing look. For the latest updates, follow us on Instagram @arabnews.lifestyle The 33-year-old star, who gave us “Love Me Like You Do,” “Burn,” and “On My Mind,” wore a floor-length gold gown with puffed, off-the-shoulder sleeves. To viewers, the dress may seem like a glamorous multi-layered creation, however, the gold color has a deeper meaning for the Grammy-nominated artist. In an Instagram post, Goulding said: “The gold dress represents getting to a place of ultimate power when you know you are in the most powerful place you can be when you have that kind of revaluation about love and forgiveness.” The musician went on to explain the concept of the music video to her 14.5 million followers: “‘Love I’m Given’ is about accepting and being at peace with all the mistakes in your life and realizing you get the same love back you give out.” “The video represents the fight between calm and chaos. The boxing ring is weirdly the place I feel the most pure and in control,” she added. Goulding’s look was put together by London-based stylist Nathan Klein. For the past six years, he has worked with A-list celebrities, including Justin Timberlake and Naomi Campbell — it is safe to say he is an expert in this field. The Saudi designer and founder of the Beirut-based label Ashi Studio, on the other hand, recently made headlines when Beyonce wore one of his creations, earlier this month, in her latest visual release, “Black is King.” The look, which took 70 hours to make, consisted of a black bustier embellished with exotic black feathers.
