DOHA — The Qatar health ministry on Saturday reported 284 new cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus, along with 315 recoveries. No deaths were recorded. This takes the total recoveries in the country to 113,531, while the death tally remains unchanged at 193. As many as 7,001 people were tested for COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, taking the total to 584,123. There are 3,041 active cases in the country, of which 432 are in acute hospital care. The ministry said in a statement on COVID-19 developments in Qatar, that all new cases have been transferred into isolation and are receiving necessary healthcare. The health ministry said measures to tackle COVID-19 have succeeded in flattening the curve and limiting the spread of the virus and the number of new daily cases and hospital admissions is continuing to decline each week.
