KSrelief begins project to distribute 300 tons of dates in southeastern Somalia

MOGADISHU — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) inaugurated on Thursday a project to distribute 300 tons of dates to needy people in the Benaadir region in southeastern Somalia. The project, which will benefit as many as 122,500 people, was launched in cooperation with the regional mission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Somalia, and in the presence of Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of Somalia Khadija Diriye, Minister of Information of Somalia Osman Abukar Dubbe, a number of Somali government officials; and a team from the Center. The Somalian minister of humanitarian affairs and disaster management thanked Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman for the support and assistance they provide to the Somali people, pointing out that this aid will be provided to beneficiaries in coordination with KSrelief. For his part, the Somali minister of information praised the aid being provided by KSrelief to his country. The aid is part of the Saudi relief and humanitarian efforts being carried out through KSrelief for people and countries in need worldwide.
