Al-Hajraf says GCC is capable of facing challenges

RIYADH — The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf affirmed the GCC’s ability to face challenges through collective work and support of the leaders of the GCC member states. He added that the decisions of the forthcoming 41st GCC Summit, aiming to support the GCC march, are set to lay the foundation for launching the GCC towards the 5th decade of its progressive march. Dr. Al-Hajraf pointed to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia"s keenness and endeavor to overcome all kinds of obstructions that have faced the efforts to hold this summit. He referred to the event as confirming the high level of Saudi diplomacy, the backbone and main pillar of the GCC within its regional and international arena. Al-Hajraf cited that Saudi Arabia’s hosting of nine summits is yet a proof that the GCC effort would proceed towards the desired horizons. In a televised interview with Al-Ekhbariya channel, Dr. Al-Hajraf reminded that the GCC countries together own four sovereign funds, which are among the ten largest funds in the world, adding that these sovereign funds make a great effort in strengthening the global economy through their large and diversified investments. — SPA
