RIYADH — Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah has been granted powers to disburse an additional reward among health practitioners who served at the intensive care units of the Ministry of Health hospitals and health facilities during the coronavirus pandemic period, Okaz/Saudi Gazette has learned from well-informed sources. This remuneration, which is for a period of three months from Sept. 1, 2020, or until the end of the pandemic, will be in addition to the reward approved by the weekly session of the Council of Ministers held on April 21, 2020. The beneficiaries of this reward include emergency intensive care doctor; anesthesia specialist other than clinical dietitian; specialist other than clinical pharmacist; intensive care unit nurse, and specialist other than a psychiatrist. The additional reward will only be given to intensive care units that share at least 40 percent of the workload of the health facilities, according to the stipulated terms and conditions. The statutory procedures for the disbursement of the reward shall be prepared by the directorates of health affairs in accordance with the system for workers in the intensive care units for the three months of September, October, and November of 2020. The list of the eligible health practitioners for the month of September shall be presented with a date of Oct. 5, 2020, while Nov. 5 and Dec. 5 shall be the dates for workers in the months of October and November respectively, and no lists after these dates will be accepted. The lists shall be sent after their regular completion to the Administrative and Financial Affairs Agency for the disbursement of the reward, the sources added.
