Bahrain, US cooperation on climate change, environment discussed

The meeting discussed aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of climate and environment. Bin Daina praised the US role to confront the effects of climate change, stressing Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with the US and exchanging expertise in the field. Kerry expressed his admiration for Bahrain"s achievements in the field of climate change and its positions in the most important organizations interested in climate and the environment. He expressed his happiness with the cooperation with Bahrain to support the efforts of the two countries in achieving the sustainable development goals. Bin Daina also met with COP26 President-Designate Alok Sharma and Cabinet Member and Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber to discuss common issues about climate change, the environment and ways to enhance climate cooperation between Bahrain and the countries participating in the regional dialogue. — BNA
