PNU, SAFF join hands to boost Saudi women’s football

Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University (PNU) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) with an aim to enhance cooperation between the two parties in the field of women’s football. PNU was represented in the signing of the agreement by Dr. Reem Bint Muhammad Al-Wohaibi, vice president for Academic Support and Student Services, while SAFF was represented by Adwaa Bint Abdulrahman Al-Arifi, deputy minister of Sports for Planning and Development and supervisor of Women’s Football at SAFF, in a ceremony held at PNU headquarters here on Thursday. The agreement provides support to the university’s Strategic Plan 2025 to ensure a university environment supportive to health and well-being as well as to increase participation in sports programs. It also seeks to enhance the reputation of the university, develop its strategy highlight its achievements, and participate in sports forums. The strategy also ensures working out women’s football management plan at SAFF to further develop women’s football in the Kingdom and raise the base of practices for it and empower Saudi women with more presence in women’s sports, and that is in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
