3 Saudi trainees sent to Netherlands to receive professional balloon pilot license

ALULA — Saudi Arabian Ballooning Federation (SAHAB) dispatched three trainees to the Netherlands to receive the European license for professional balloon pilot (EASA) to fly balloons. This move comes within the practical course for SAHAB program to train balloon pilot, so as to develop the skills of people practicing the sport of hot air balloon in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. SAHAB Chairman Eng. Amr Al-Madani pointed out that the program aims at developing the skills of people willing to practice the sport of balloon among the Saudi youth and develop their technical abilities in flying balloons. For his part, SAHAB CEO Mohammed Al-Hammoudi said that the training program for balloon pilots focuses on the practical aspect through intensified exercises on flying the balloon to develop the skills of trainees. He added that the federation is keen that all can have their opportunities in training on flying balloons, expressing confidence in the ability of Saudi young people to represent their country well and come back with astounding results. — SPA
