MINA — A Pakistani pilgrim, who suffered a severe heart attack, was saved by the emergency team of the Heart Center at the King Abdullah Medical City of Makkah. The pilgrim had the attack while he was spending the first day of Hajj at the pilgrims’ camp in Mina. He was first taken to Mina Al-Wadi Hospital and then was transferred immediately to the Medical City, where he received emergency treatment and is currently receiving the best medical care. Hatem Al-Masoudi, the spokesman of the Makkah Health Cluster, said that the Makkah health community made all the necessary arrangements to ensure the health and safety of the pilgrims in accordance with the precautionary measures and preventive protocols to stem the spread of the pandemic. This is with the follow-up and direct supervision of the Ministry of Health in rendering excellent health services. He said the Makkah Health Cluster has deployed specialized medical teams to receive such cases around the clock and provide them with the best medical care.
