MAKKAH — Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz Bin Saud Bin Naif, who is also the chairman of Supreme Hajj Committee, inaugurated on Wednesday the Security City for Hajj and Umrah in Al-Jumum in the Makkah region as part of the second phase of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ project to develop security headquarters. The city includes multiple educational fields and facilities equipped with the latest smart systems, security equipment and technical means in line with the requirements of all levels of training on various security tasks of the special forces for the security of Hajj and Umrah during Hajj and Umrah seasons. The interior minister toured the city and viewed samples of its buildings and facilities. The director of Public Security, General Khalid Bin Qarar Al-Harbi, said in a speech during the inauguration that the city will contribute to the continuous development of skills and capabilities of the security forces enabling them to carry out their tasks to serve pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors as per the objectives of the Kingdom"s Vision 2030. He thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman for their support and interest in the security sector, which led the Kingdom to make a mark at the global level.
