KUWAIT CITY — A 4.5-magnitude earthquake occurred in the Al-Manageesh area southwest of Kuwait, said the Kuwait National Seismic Network (KNSN) on Monday. Dr. Abdullah Al-Enezi, an official at the KNSN, said that the quake happened at 11:31 a.m. local-time in Kuwait at a depth of eight kilometers. Earthquakes in Kuwait are rare, there are occasional tremors in the country due to its geographical to Iran, which is more prone to violent earthquakes.
