Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman held talks in Moscow on Monday with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. The officials discussed military and defense cooperation and joint efforts to preserve regional security and stability. They also tackled challenges facing their countries. The meeting aimed “to explore ways to strengthen the military and defense cooperation between our two countries,” tweeted Prince Khalid. Prince Khalid and his Russian counterpart Alexander Fomin later signed a military cooperation agreement. The Saudi royal had traveled to Russia to take part in the Russia’s International Military-Technical Forum “Army-2020” that kicked off on Monday.
