Tourism Ministry reviews investment opportunities in 2021 IHIF in Berlin

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is participating in the 2021 International Hospitality Investment Forum being held in the InterContinental Berlin, Germany, between Sept. 1 and 3. The forum, which is hosting more than 170 speakers and participants from 80 countries, seeks to provide a platform for dialogue and discussion on the future of the hospitality industry. The participation of the Ministry of Tourism is aimed at acquainting the world with the development and growth the tourism industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing and familiarizing investors with development projects and investment opportunities offered by Saudi Arabia. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism for Investment Attraction Mahmoud Abdulhadi is scheduled to participate in an individual discussion panel titled “Supporting Sustainable Development”, which will focus on Saudi Arabia’s efforts in creating a sustainable tourism market that combines between balanced development projects and maintaining the environment and natural resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Abdulhadi said: “There are many and diversified investment opportunities available for local and foreign investors, and once they are invested, the investor becomes a direct partner in developing the emerging international tourism sector, and for its being the biggest untapped tourist attraction area in the world and the incubator for the biggest tourist projects, the Kingdom is offering huge investment opportunities.” Abdulhadi added: “The forum will be an opportunity to communicate with the pioneers of the industry and shed light on the efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the pandemic, including the strategy of the preparedness and development of tourist attraction, as part of its preparations to resume receiving foreign tourists.” The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in its pavilion in the 2021 International Hospitality Investment Forum, will be represented by the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Investment and major Saudi projects under the umbrella of the “Invest Saudi”, the government sponsor of the forum. The “Invest Saudi” pavilion provides an opportunity to investors and interested people in the forum to have firsthand look at the most prominent investment opportunities available in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the presence of representatives of the participating institutions throughout the days of the forum. — SPA
