2021 Ammar Award honors winners of its Gulf edition

The 2021 Ammar Award with its fifth Gulf edition for talented disabled honored its winners under the patronage of Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Eng. Ahmed Bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, in the presence of CEO of the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities Dr. Hisham Al-Haidary and a number of princes, ambassadors and officials. President of Aleradah (Will) Organization for Talented People with Disability Dr. Ammar Bouqas extended appreciation of all those who contributed to the success of the award in all GCC countries. He extended special thanks to NEOM Company, the strategic partner of the award, for offering all its efforts out of its belief in their role in realizing one of the pillars of the Saudi Vision 2030 that paid special attention to people with disability and their empowerment in the community. Honors were given away to winners of the two-pronged prize: Those with disabilities and those taking care of the disabled. Ali Al-Lughani, a UAE 10-year old, snatched the first place, Israa Yousef, a UAE girl, Abdulrahman Al-Homoud, from Kuwait and Iman Guffa, a 14-year old Saudi girl, won the next three prizes. More than 18,000 contestants have filed themselves as candidates whereas the arbitration committee chose 140 eligible to compete. — SPA
