— Trainees of the Justice Training Center have increased to more than 40,000 in 2021 compared to only 13,845 in the previous year, the Saudi Ministry of Justice (MoJ) announced. “1,004 judges attended 36 courses, while 745 trainee judges attended 4 courses,” the ministry said. “In addition, nearly 31,000 lawyers attended 649 courses, and 2,723 notaries attended 51 courses; 600 mediators attended 24 courses, and 6,458 administrative staff attended 169 courses.” The Justice Training Center has 58 training rooms, 4 conference rooms, and 4 computing labs. It works to enhance the training and qualification of legal professionals including judges, lawyers, notaries, and mediators. The center has adopted a training plan that works towards achieving the ministry’s vision by preparing specialized qualification programs, supporting continuous professional development, identifying training needs, and diversifying training tools. It also participates in relevant local and international conferences and seminars, and organizes its own events using the latest technologies. — SG
