UAE 44th National Day - Union Flag Copy video url Play / Pause Mute / Unmute Report a problem Language Mox Player Addressing the Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit (GMAIS) at Dubai Expo, the minister said that the launch of the NEOM Industrial City OXAGON represented a huge transition for the Kingdom’s industrial sectors in terms of the transformation of energy sources to clean and renewable energy ones so as to achieve the goals of the Green Saudi and the Green Middle East initiatives. “The efforts of Saudi Arabia during the coronavirus pandemic period showed its high capability in dealing with the crisis, as its concern is for people’s health and safety. Supporting the economy and business was also among its priorities,” he said. Alkhorayef affirmed that the Kingdom’s advanced systems and pumping of investments in the telecommunications infrastructure since the launch of Vision 2030 have contributed significantly to overcoming the pandemic. The minister emphasized that infrastructure readiness is considered as an important matter to ensure and provide for dealing with the growth and changes. “The infrastructure readiness will also facilitate dealing with automation, new business models based on modern technology, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution applications. These initiatives will create job opportunities for citizens, as human capability building is the only way to ensure the continuity of business sustainability,” he said. The Kingdom’s industrial system under Vision 2030 aims to help industrial investors to achieve their goals and to obtain promising opportunities, Alkhorayef added.
