RIYADH — The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Romania signed here Monday a defense cooperation agreement, covering various defense fields including training, exchange of expertise, technologies, developing communications systems, medical services, military history, archives, publications, and museums, among others. The agreement is in line with the two sides’ commitment to promote and encourage international peace and stability. Dr. Khalid Bin Hussein Al-Bayari, assistant minister of defense for executive affair, represented the Kingdom in the signing ceremony, while the Romanian side was represented by Simona Cojocaru, state secretary and chief of the department for defense policy, planning and international relations. The signing ceremony was also attended by a number of officials from the two sides. — SPA
