Saudi aid agency signs $8 million deal with WHO to improve childrens health in Yemen

RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center on Sunday signed a $8 million deal with the World Health Organization to improve children’s health in Yemen, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The cooperation agreement aims to enhance services and basic nutritional intervention to reduce mortality rates in a sustainable way. KSrelief supervisor general, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, and WHO regional director for the Eastern Mediterranean, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari, signed the deal. Under the agreement, healthcare will be enhanced to limit death rates among children under the age of five. Al-Mandhari thanked KSrelief for its continuous support to serve humanity and alleviate the suffering of people. The agreement is part of the humanitarian and relief projects implemented by the Kingdom, through the center, to develop the Yemeni health sector and improve medical services for all sections of society.
