Dr. Al-Hajraf condemns terrorist Houthi militia’s attacks on Gulf States

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf strongly condemned the terrorist Houthi militia’s continued and deliberate launching of missiles toward the GCC states, targeting safe civilians and facilities. He also praised the high efficiency of the UAE Air Defense Forces, for intercepting and destroying a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi militia towards the UAE Monday, as the debris of the ballistic missile fell outside the populated areas. In a statement, Dr. Al-Hajraf stressed that the ongoing terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia reflect its blatant defiance of the international community and its disregard for all international laws and norms. He called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and take decisive action against the Houthi militia to stop these terrorist acts targeting vital and civilian facilities. He reiterated the GCC"s solidarity with the UAE, and support for any measures it takes to defend its territories and preserve its security and the safety of citizens and residents. In Manama, Bahrain too strongly condemned the launch of a ballistic missile by the terrorist Houthi militia against the United Arab Emirates. Bahraini Foreign Affairs Ministry commended the vigilance and efficiency of the UAE Air Defense that was able to intercept and destroy the ballistic missile. The ministry stressed that such terrorist acts affirm the keenness of the terrorist Houthi militia to target civilians and civilian facilities. It affirmed that Bahrain supports the UAE in all the measures it takes to protect its security and stability, stressing the need for the international community to shoulder its responsibilities towards deterring these terrorist militias and putting an end to their continuous violations of international laws, where these violations threaten the security and stability of the region. Egypt also expressed its strong condemnation of the Houthi militia"s launch of a ballistic missile towards the United Arab Emirates. This ballistic attack is intercepted and destroyed by the UAE Air Defense Forces. In a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt reiterated its rejection of these cowardly terrorist acts, which pose a blatant threat to the security and stability of the region, affirming its solidarity with the UAE in all measures to protect its security and stability. In Tunis, Tunisia renewed its strong condemnation of the terrorist Houthi militia"s attacks on the territories of Saudi Arabia and the UAE, affirming its absolute rejection of aggression targeting their security and sovereignty and all threats that undermine the stability of the entire region and constitute a flagrant violation of international laws and norms. During his participation in the consultative ministerial meeting of the Arab foreign ministers, which was held in Kuwait, Tunisian Foreign Minister Othman Jerandi called for the need to intensify Arab efforts to support the legitimate demands of the Palestinian people. — SPA
