Three cyber boot camps and three training classes are being held for drone programming. Abdulaziz Al-Hammadi, CEO of Tuwaiq Academy, said that the academy aims to train around 28,000 men and women every year in programming, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and other emerging technology fields that meet the needs of the labor market. More than 5,660 people have benefited so far from the training sessions, and 1,605 have benefited from the Tuwaiq Academy’s technology courses for juniors. The Tuwaiq Academy was launched with the aim of teaching programming, web development and mobile app development through the “Satr” platform in Arabic. The academy is committed to discovering and developing trainees’ technical skills to achieve the federation’s goal of having one programmer for every 100 Saudi citizens by 2030. CoderHub, a platform specializing in solving coding challenges, supports youth through student clubs. More than 63,746 challenges have been undertaken. BugBounty is another platform that aims to use cybersecurity researchers’ skills to discover security bugs in products and technical sites. More than 15,000 researchers have benefitted from the platform. The Tuwaiq Academy has partnered with multinational corporations including Google, Amazon, IBM, Cisco, Apple, Alibaba Cloud, Oracle, Microsoft, Trend Micro and Offensive Security to launch training programs. The academy has become Apple’s first authorized educational training center in the Middle East, with more than 100 students graduating from the program’s first class.
