Dr. Al Rabeeah, Lamle discuss joint cooperation of humanitarian and relief affairs in needy countries

Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah met here Monday with German Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Dieter Lamle. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the frameworks of joint cooperation related to the humanitarian and relief affairs in the needy countries. The German Ambassador praised the prestigious international status of the KSrelief in the field of humanitarian work. In Dhaka, KSrelief launched the voluntary medical program to combat blindness and its causes in Bangladesh, within "Noor Saudi" program, being implemented during the period from Aug. 18-27, 2022. The KSrelief voluntary medical team examined 5,100 cases, distributed 1,136 eyeglasses, and performed 376 surgeries. This campaign comes as an extension of the projects related to combating blindness being implemented by Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, for the families with low incomes in a number of countries. In Hodeidah, the Mobile Medical Nutritional Clinics of KSrelief provided treatment services for 35,969 beneficiaries in Al-Khawkhah Directorate during July, 2022. The laboratory department also received 4,397 people while 12,183 individuals were provided with medications. Also in Hodeidah, KSrelief has continued the implementation of the water supply and environmental sanitation project in Hodeida Governorate, Yemen. During July, 2022, 1,710,500 liters of drinking water, 1,627,500 liters of non-drinking water were pumped, and 124 shifts dedicated to removing waste from the camps of the displaced people were carried out, benefiting 9,800 individuals. — SPA
