Saudi aid center continues health, water projects in Yemen

RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center is continuing its aid efforts in Yemen with the provision of health and water projects to individuals and families in need. KSrelief’s mobile medical clinics provided treatment services to 2,711 beneficiaries in the Hajjah governorate in one month. The clinics provided services related to epidemiology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, children’s health, reproductive health, nutritional therapy, immunization, awareness and education, and surgery and surgical dressing. KSrelief also continued the implementation of its water supply and environmental projects in the Hajjah and Saada governorates. In one week, almost 6.7 million liters of drinking water and 7.6 million liters of water for other purposes were pumped into tanks across the two regions. Yemen is among the top beneficiaries of KSrelief assistance. In total, the center has implemented 759 projects in Yemen for a total cost of almost $4.2 billion. The center’s programs cover food security, water sanitation and hygiene, health, education, emergency aid and nutrition.
