The Saudi government reiterated on Tuesday its firm support in promoting efforts to spread the spirit of dialogue and communication between different cultures.  The Kingdom had made this stance during its participation at 9th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations held in Fez, Morocco.  It stressed that it was keen on coexistence between peoples so that the world can enjoy security and stability.  Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz chaired the cabinet meeting that was held in Riyadh.  He briefed the ministers on the message he sent on Tuesday to Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the message he received from President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on Sunday.  Both messages tackled bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia and ways to bolster them in various fields.  Minister of State, Cabinet's Member for Shura Council Affairs and Acting Minister of Media Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed said the cabinet highlighted the election of Saudi Arabia as Chairman of the Executive Council of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).  The achievement is a translation of its influential role in the multilateral international action and its global recognition given its contributions and initiatives aimed at developing a global, sustainable and comprehensive tourism sector.  The ministers praised Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s announcement on Monday of the launch of the masterplan for King Salman International Airport, which will boost Riyadh’s position as a global logistics hub, stimulate transport, trade and tourism, and act as a bridge linking the East with the West.  The move will contribute to Saudi Arabia’s vision to transform Riyadh into one of the top ten economic cities in the world.  The cabinet stressed the keenness and attention the state attaches to the comprehensive development of all regions and cities of the Kingdom. This includes efforts to improve the quality of life, basic services and infrastructure, increase their contribution to the gross domestic product through developing economic and tourism activities, provide more job opportunities for citizens, and maximize the use of their comparative and investment advantages in line with Vision 2030.  The cabinet reviewed performance indicators of the Saudi economy during the third quarter of 2022 and the 13.1% increase in non-oil exports compared to the same period last year. It also covered efforts and initiatives that would boost the competitiveness of the local product in the regional and international markets.
