Saudi Crown Prince to President Xi: Our partnership to promote global peace and security

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman told Chinese President Xi Jinping that the partnership between Saudi Arabia and China would contribute to maintaining international peace and security. “Our meeting embodies the depth of the strategic partnership between the two countries, as the relations between Riyadh and Beijing are featuring friendship and mutual trust,” the Crown Prince told the Chinese leader during their official talks at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Thursday. The Crown Prince emphasized that Saudi Arabia seeks to push the partnership with China to higher levels. During the talks, the two leaders reviewed aspects of the Saudi-Chinese partnership. Their talks also figured efforts to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields in line with their visions. They also discussed the opportunities to invest in diverse fields in both countries, in addition to reviewing the regional and international issues of common interest and the efforts made in this regard. Following the meeting, the Crown Prince and Chinese President witnessed the ceremony of signing several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs), including the harmonization plan between Saudi Arabia"s Vision 2030 and the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative, as well as cooperation in the fields of green energy, green hydrogen, photovoltaic energy, and information technology. Earlier, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and President Xi signed the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between the Kingdom and China following their official talks.
