Bangladesh Party Leader Sentenced to Death For War Crimes

Dhaka, Ramadan 8, 1434, Jul 17, 2013, SPA - Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid, secretary general of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami party was sentenced to death Wednesday for war crimes during the country's 1971 liberation war against Pakistan. Mujahid was tried by a special war crimes tribunal investigating allegations against several of the party's leaders during the nine-month war.
