Brussels, Muharram 7, 1436, Oct 31, 2014, SPA -- The European Union is clearing the way to provide Zimbabwe with development aid for the first time in more than a decade, it announced on Friday, arguing that the political situation in the southern African country has sufficiently improved, dpa reported. The EU imposed sanctions on Zimbabwe in 2002, following a government crackdown on the opposition and the eviction of white farmers from agricultural land.
