London, Jumada II 17, 1434, Apr 27, 2013, SPA - Growing evidence that the Syrian government has used chemical weapons against the rebels is unlikely to prompt a Western military intervention, British Prime Minister David Cameron said on Friday. Cameron told the BBC that there was limited but growing evidence that forces loyal to Bashar Al-Assad regime had used chemical weapons. "It is very disturbing what we are seeing," Cameron told the broadcaster. "It's limited evidence but there's growing evidence that we have seen too of the use of chemical weapons, probably by the regime." In Geneva, United Nations relief agency said the number of Syrians who have fled their war-torn country has surpassed 1.4 million, and warned that it was no longer able to meet their medical needs. "Due to limited funding levels, UNHCR and partner agencies have been obliged to reduce support for health services for Syrian refugees," it said. --SPA 13:00 LOCAL TIME 10:00 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/1103345
