Ramallah, Ramadan 20, 1432, Aug 20, 2011, SPA - Chief Palestinian Negotiator Saeb Erekat disclosed here last night that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas demanded convening of an emergency session of the UN Security Council to stop Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip. Erekat said the Palestinian President instructed the representative of Palestine at the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, to move quickly for convening an emergency session of the UN Security Council to terminate Israeli attacks and the dangerous Israeli escalations that have killed dozens of Palestinians as well as bring about an end to continual bombing raids against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
