U.N. Chief Condemns Suicide Attack on Pakistan Mosque

United Nations, Ramadan 20, 1432, Aug 20, 2011, SPA - U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Friday condemned the deadly suicide attack on a mosque in northwestern Pakistan that reportedly killed more than 40 people and injured over 100. “The secretary-general condemns in the strongest terms the suicide attack at a mosque during Friday prayers in north-west Pakistan,” Ban’s office said in a statement. The U.N. chief “is appalled at this deliberate attack at the mosque during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan,” the statement said.
