Pakistan, India Agree To Continue Peace Dialogue, Promote Regional Stability

Islamabad, Sha'ban 26, 1432, Jul 27, 2011, SPA - Pakistan and India - the nuclear armed neighbors in South Asia, decided today to continue the constructive dialogue to resolve outstanding differences between them and work together to promote stability in the region. This came in the final statement issued in New Delhi after the meeting that took place this morning between the Indian Minister of External Affairs, S.M. Krishna and his Pakistani counterpart, Hina Rabbani Khar, as part of the ongoing deliberations for a comprehensive peace dialogue between the two countries. Addressing a joint press conference in New Delhi after the meeting, Hina Rabbani Khar affirmed the dire necessity of improving relations between Pakistan and India to resolve differences and to ensure the security and stability in the region. She also stressed that the Pakistani government and its political leaders sincerely want to improve relations with India.
