U.N. Chief Welcomes Indo-Pak Constructive Talks For Dialogue and Regional Security

New York, Sha'ban 29, 1432, Jul 30, 2011, SPA - UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon welcomed Saturday the constructive talks held recently between the foreign ministers of India and Pakistan and encouraged the two countries to resolve the outstanding problems through dialogue for the benefit of people of both countries and the regional security in the subcontinent. The Secretary General made the statement following talks held on July 27 in New Delhi between the Indian Minister of External Affairs, S. M. Krishna and Pakistani Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar during which the two sides announced new measures to build (mutual) confidence.
