Islamabad, Ramadan 16, 1432, Aug 16, 2011, SPA - Six lorries carrying oil for NATO troops in Afghanistan were torched Tuesday by gunmen in central Pakistan, Police said. The midnight attack took place in Muzaffargarh district about 380 kilometres north-west of Lahore, the provincial capital of Punjab. Rao Munir Zia, district police officer of Muzaffargarh, said an unknown number of gunmen raided 12 oil tankers parked at a motel, according to a report of the German Press Agency "DPA". "Six lorries were completely destroyed while firefighters saved the remaining six after two hours of struggle," Zia said by phone.
