Moscow, April 15, 2010, SPA -- Ousted Kyrgyz president Kurmanbek Bakiyev has resigned, the interim government confirmed early Friday, dpa quoted Russian media as saying. The Kyrgyz interim government led by pro-Western Roza Otunbayeva confirmed it had received a resignation letter from Bakiyev, the Interfax news agency reported. Further details were not immediately available on a day when Bakiyev was able to leave Kyrgyzstan, for neighbouring Kazakhstan, in an internationally brokered deal to calm the situation.
