Cairo, Dhu Al-Hijjah 25, 1431, Dec 01, 2010, SPA -- The ruling National Democratic Party has garnered up to 209 seats of the nation's 508-member legislative assembly in the first round of the parliamentary elections, according to official results declared early on Wednesday. Independent candidates won seven seats and the opposition parties five, in the nationwide elections, held last Sunday, according to a report of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
