United Nations, March 10, 2010, SPA -- U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will visit Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories after attending a meeting of the Middle East diplomatic Quartet in Moscow later this month, his spokesman announced Tuesday. Martin Nesirky told reporters that Ban Ki-moon “will be visiting Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza immediately after attending the Quartet meeting” scheduled for March 19 in the Russian capital. The diplomatic Quartet consists of the United Nations, the United States, the European Union, and Russia.
